CENTURY 21 Australasia turns its famous gold jacket pink

The most famous real estate jacket in the world is once again turning pink for the month of October, in an Australian-led initiative aimed at raising awareness and funds for Cancer Council's 'Pink Ribbon' campaign. The campaign will see Century 21 agents across Australia and New Zealand wear limited edition pink jackets, scarves and ties at auctions, open homes and in their local communities.

"Sadly, every day in Australia around 50 women are told they have a breast or gynaecological cancer," said Charles Tarbey, Chairman and Owner of Century 21 Australasia.

"Cancer affects the Australian real estate industry like all other segments of society and Century 21 wanted to play a small part in raising awareness and funds for the campaign.

"Our network's efforts last year garnered global attention and I was extremely proud of the way our people rallied behind the cause in their local communities," said Charles Tarbey.

Century 21 real estate agents raised $138,770 last year and hope to better that result in 2015. Many Century 21 agents will be taking donation boxes to auctions and open homes across Australia during October, displaying pink merchandise in their offices and hosting various fundraising events in their local communities.

State-based events such as charity golf days, auctions and 'Pink' awards dinners are also being held as part of the campaign, and many offices will be donating money from their successful real estate transactions during the month.
