About Run For Wayne - Doin' it for Ryder
Run For Wayne - Doin' It For Ryder was held in March of 2015 in loving memory of Wayne Rickard who sadly lost his battle with cancer. Wayne's beautiful family chose little Ryder as the recipient of the 2015's event.
Ryder Patrick Colless was admitted to the Royal Children’s Hospital in December 2012 at just 19 months old after displaying symptoms resulting in a condition called DI – Diabetes Insipidus. An MRI determined LCH Disease –Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis. Ryder had 3 bone lesions, the DI and it had eaten away at his scalp and behind his ears. The disease was all present in his head. The hospital commenced extensive chemotherapy treatment for a period of 12 months.
In December 2013 Ryder was given the all clear, unfortunately in May 2014 his disease had returned in the stalk of his pituitary gland so he had to commence a secondary chemotherapy protocol for a period of 6 months. He has now started oral chemo tablets on a daily basis which he will take for a minimum of 18 months. The Colless family have spent many days, weeks, nights in Melbourne with Ronald McDonald House, away from Ryder’s baby brother Hunter who was just 3 months old when Ryder was Diagnosed with LCH.
Recently we have sold our home through Century 21 with our primary agent being Melinda Dullard. We can not speak highly enough of the service we received, she is very professional and efficient. Whenever we had a query Melinda was more than prepared to look into it and provided feedback in a timely manner. The technology used by this agency was second to none and we have been extremely impressed with the results of the advertising campaign. Melinda has been very approachable, enthusiastic and a pleasure to work with. We are certainly prepared to recommend Melinda and Century 21 to anyone considering selling their home.
