Adam Walford - Business Development Manager
Adam has been with Century 21 since 1998, commencing in his family’s business as a trainee salesperson after finishing tertiary studies in Economics at the University of Adelaide. To better learn all facets of the industry and add versatility to the company, Adam attained his Level 1 and 2 Property Managers qualifications soon after which came in handy when circumstances needed him to assist in the rental department as the company began growing. Adam continued working in sales and rentals for a number of years until the volume of work forced him to make a choice in 2006 to focus on Property Management. After his Parents retired in 2007 Adam stayed on in a management capacity for the current director, and now runs the rental department and oversees a very capable and enthusiastic team that strives to deliver a great service to Landlords and Tenants alike.
Having been active in the North east and inner Northern suburbs for such a long time, Adam has an excellent local knowledge and a strong market presence that has helped him achieve excellent results over an extended period. Whilst recognition from one’s peers are nice, Adam is motivated more by being referred to clients by happy customers and knowing a job is done properly. Having said this, Adam is one of Century 21 South Australia’s most decorated operators, being named Property Manager of the Year in 2011, 2013 and 2014.
Away from work, Adam played and later coached division 1 and 2 Baseball for 18 years and still goes out for a hit in the lower grades when able to. Other interests include motorsport, computer gaming, music and spending time tinkering with his pride and joy, his beloved 1982 VH Commodore SLE.
Prior to commencing his Real Estate career, Adam studied Economics at the University of Adelaide majoring in Economic History and Macro Economics. Adam has also completed a Diploma in Business (Real Estate Sales) and after deciding to focus on Property Management completed the REI level 1 and advanced level 2 Property manager courses, Risk Management and Trust Accounting Certificates.
Recent awards are highlighted by Adam winning Property Manager of the Year 2011 and also Top Property Management Office 2011 for the largest increase in rent roll growth. Adam has also win the award in the first and third quarters in 2012 and is a regular winner in the quarterly and annual awards.
Community Involvement/Personal Interests
Adam has played baseball since the age of 12 and after a successful junior career he went on to pitch in SABL Division 1 for 18 seasons representing Adelaide and later Northern Districts. Adam also coached Division 1 and 2 fo 4 seasons. Other interested include music, Motorsport, computer gaming and spending time tinkering with his pride and joy, his beloved 1982 VH Commodore.
