Born and bred on Brisbane’s Southside, Jared’s hand was finally forced to move north when he received his first posting from the Australian Army. It was during this posting that Jared fell in love with Moreton Bay and its natural beauty. After a rewarding Army career Jared was able to return to the region with his fiancé Storm to buy their first home.
In 2014 Jared jumped at an opportunity to work offshore providing security for Australia’s border protection policy. During this time Jared developed a keen interest in the Australian property market and began to self-educate by attending real estate courses and by reading books written by some of Australia’s leading property investment commentators. After attending Cherie Barbers Renovating for Profit in 2016, Jared knew it was time to return to Australia and pursue a career in real estate.
Since starting his real estate career on the peninsular with Century 21 Maddies Hermans, Jared has seized the opportunity to get involved in the local community and now enjoys a very rewarding volunteer role with the Redcliffe RSL assisting with the support of returned service men, women and their families. Jared also enjoys the peninsular through local car club events and golf days at the Redcliffe Golf Club
Jared’s real estate mission is to provide a professional “No fluff” service that continues long after settlement day. Working within Century 21’s “customer service culture” and the continued work that Jared does within the local community guarantees mission success as well as providing great benefits for both his clients and customers.
Jared was an excellent student and was well liked by his fellow students and teaching staff. He had a real passion for rugby league and began playing club football when he was seven. He continued to play both club and school football until he was eighteen.
Jared followed his dream by enlisting into the Australian Defence Force in 2006. After completing basic training, Jared chose the corps of Artillery as he was interested in pursuing a career in Surveillance and Target Acquisition (STA). He completed his initial employment training on the weapon locating radar and deployed to Iraq soon after.
Jared was home from Iraq only a short time before he was posted to Puckapunyal to assist in the training of new soldiers. He returned to Enoggera Barracks at the end of 2010 and was promoted to Bombardier. Always looking for a challenge, Jared’s focus shifted to the operation of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV). He travelled to the USA to learn the latest technology in the operation of the UAVs, and in 2012 Jared was deployed to Afghanistan, where he fulfilled the mentally and physically challenging role as UAV Mission Commander with skill and integrity. Jared was well respected by the men and women he worked alongside.
In 2014 Jared discharged from the ADF and assisted with Australia’s border protection policy by taking a position on Manus Island, Papua New Guinea. During his 2 year employment on Manus Island Jared was able achieve many personal and careers goals which enabled him to return to Australia and pursue a career in real estate.
Jared’s career in the ADF has not only shown him the importance of being a team player, but also how to lead with confidence and integrity. Jared is a good listener and respects others’ views, he is always ready to compromise, with the knowledge that there is usually more than one way to reach a goal. Jared is honest, loyal, motivated, enthusiastic, dependable, friendly, respectful and compassionate.
Jared is our son and he makes us proud every day.
Mick and Glyn Cumerford.
